Connecting to the Element of Fire Ritual: Release, Transform, & Ignite
What You’ll Need:
- Oaxacan Spice Cacao: We recommend 10-12 discs for a deeper experience *always listen to your body
- Journal or paper, & a pen/colored pencils if you wish to get extra creative
- An open heart
- Quiet, uninterrupted space
Your Ritual
Begin by setting up your ritual space. You may burn some sacred smoke to begin shifting your consciousness into stillness, put on some of your favorite meditative music - we love Coyote Oldman for some wonderful flute vibes - and whatever other tools you may have to create a sacred container.
Once your space is ready, take your cup of cacao in hand and bring it to your heart. Closing your eyes, slow your breath, and intend to connect to the transformational energy of fire imagining that the light of the sun (one of the strongest representations of fire in our day-to-day lives) is pouring into your cup. You may stay here for as long as it feels good and when you’re ready, take your first few sips observing the warmth that the spicy blend of your cacao is activating in your system.
Allow the cacao to guide you on a visual journey of sacred fire igniting within you and listen to what the deepest parts of you have to say, reflecting on these prompts:
I release…
I transform…
I ignite…
Envision that with each of these statements, you are giving them to the fire within. Do this as many times as you feel called to, all the while breathing deeply and sipping on your cacao.
Once you feel complete in this process, allow yourself to get creative, letting the fire energy (creation) express into the physical.
Grab your pen and paper and begin to draw what your inner fire looks like. Let your heart speak! You may wish to write the affirmations of what you are releasing, transforming, and igniting so that after some time you may check back and observe what has occurred. In this fire you’ve drawn, you may even wish to write inside the flames what you are releasing and transforming, envisioning that with each stroke of your pen, powerful alchemy is occurring within you and will soon reflect outside of you.
When your process is complete, close your ritual in gratitude. Giving thanks to cacao, the cinnamon for warming your heart, the ginger and cayenne for igniting your creativity, and the cardamom for softening your heart. Lastly, give thanks to the element of fire, and to your inner fire, may it burn brightly for all to see.
