Hearth to Heart: An Autumnal Cacao Recipe
Ingredients:
25-30 discs Ora Ceremonial Cacao
3oz Nut Milk
1/4 cup Dried Rose Petals for Rose Tea (Recipe below)
Pinch of Himalayan Salt
Pinch of Pepper
1/4 tsp Cardamom
1/4 tsp Cinnamon
1/4 tsp Cloves
1/4 tsp Nutmeg
2 tsp Maple Syrup or preferred sweetener (you can adjust the amount to your desired level of sweetness)
Serves: One 8 fl oz serving
Directions:
For this recipe, we will use a combination of nut milk and rose tea as the base. To begin, prepare your rose tea by bringing water to boil and steeping ¼ cup dried rose petals for 8 minutes. Strain the plant matter from the water (option to re-steep for more rose water, or compost, or discard).
Then combine 3oz oat milk and 3oz rose water as your base. Heat on stove top, careful not to bring to a boil - ideally around 180°F.
Once hot, add in your ceremonial cacao and spices and sweetener. Whisk or blend until well combined and frothy.
(The measurements above are a guideline, and you’re encouraged to add in spices or sweetener to your taste preferences.)
Serve garnished with a sprinkle of your favorite autumnal spice(s), and enjoy amidst cozy comforts!
