Let's deepen your connection to cacao and grow your ritual practice.
In our monthly ritual report, we've highlighted meaningful astrological dates that help you align with the natural cycles of Earth, significant days to celebrate and reflect with cacao, and notable historical events. This offers you a mix of cosmic and grounded cacao ritual.
In addition, we recommend specific cacaos to support your intentions on these special days.
Each day is an opportunity to go deeper with your ceremony by dedicating more time, planning a more elaborate ritual, adjusting your cacao dose, or planning ahead for a group ritual with friends, loved ones, and the larger community.
How will you make your rituals authentic to you this month?
May Ritual Report
Friday, May 5th | Full Moon Lunar Eclipse
As shared in our Full Moon Eclipse Ritual, the essence of this full moon is all about surrender and trust. This lunation is a chance for us to clear out anything that no longer serves in our relational lives.
For ritual, we recommend working with Tantric Rose Blossom cacao. The energy of this full moon will last for a few days after its peak, so you have some time to make the most of it!

Sunday, May 7th | Venus Enters Cancer
On May 7th, Venus, the planet of love, will be entering the watery and emotional sign of Cancer. Venus within this sign brings an emphasis to what is most sacred to us. You can work with Mystical Mushroom Cacao to help keep you grounded during this month-long transit and stay balanced through the heightened emotions that may arise. In ritual, you can invite in the energy of harmony within your home life and your relationships. You may wish to do some inquiry work while you sip on your cacao:
What do you value the most in your life?
Who do you value the most, and how can you continue expressing your love for them?
Sunday, May 14th | Mother’s Day
Mother’s Day is a tradition with a rich history that goes back to ancient times when the Greeks honored the mother goddesses Rhea and Cybele. Over time, the celebration of the mother archetype shifted and became focused on each family’s mothers. The originator of the Mother’s Day we have come to know now was Anna Jarvis. She successfully initiated this holiday in 1905 but not long after, came to resent the holiday for the way in which it became commercialized.
With this in mind, perhaps we can celebrate both the mothers within our lineage and the Great Mother archetype, such as Mother Earth, or any other mother goddesses you may feel a deep connection to in an authentic and heart-centered way.
On this day, consider sharing a cup of cacao with the important mother figures in your life, and perhaps gifting them a letter of gratitude expressing how they have impacted your life in positive ways!
This is a good day to create ritual with Glowing Guatemala, a cacao that is ideal for personal insight with its loving, motherly energy. Reflect on what the archetype of the mother symbolizes to you, what role it plays in your life, and how your relationship to it is. Wisdom keepers say that our abundance is directly related to our relationship to our mother. This is a beautiful day to initiate a healing journey with that relationship.
Tuesday, May 16th | Jupiter Enters Taurus
Jupiter is the master of expansion, so whichever sign it moves into, it will emphasize that energy as it asks us to grow within that aspect of our life and expression. Previously, it was in the sign of Aries which gave many of us a sense of urgency, but once it moves into Taurus, we will have a beautiful opportunity to take things slower, and to savor our experiences without feeling so much pressure to keep moving along. This year’s transit will be all about slow and steady progress so that we can build firm and stable foundations in our lives. If you are keen on astrology, check where in your chart Jupiter will be to gain insight as to the major themes of this expansion for you.
To celebrate this transit and call in this energy, work with Boundless Belize cacao. This cacao invites us to explore freedom and expansiveness. How can you tap into more pleasure and play so that you make space for inspiration? Where are you naturally feeling inclined to gain more knowledge and wisdom?
Jupiter in Taurus says, “focus on the journey rather than the destination.”
