There once was a time when all people of the land tuned into the constant dance of Mother Earth by observing the animals, the plants, the movement of the stars, and the changes in the weather; through this, they too followed the natural rhythms of life.

With this new knowledge, we can begin to realign ourselves to the cycles of the earth.
We’ve just moved from Summer into Fall, so what does this mean?
The Fall is a call from the Earth to begin turning inwards, reflecting, rebalancing, and moving back down into our roots by slowing our pace.

In this recipe, with the loving aid of Cacao, Dandelion Root, and coconut oil we begin to recollect ourselves and give our bodies the nourishment they may need - especially in these times of such major change. Though things may not be slowing down in the outside world, we can at least give ourselves some time in our day or week to slow down and honor the shift of the Earth.
In this recipe, we use Glowing Guatemala Pure 100% Cacao.
However, you may use any pure cacao and add the special ingredients below.
The Recipe
- Glowing Guatemala Pure 100% Cacao: 8-12 discs of cacao
- Roasted Dandelion Root Tea (2tbsp) - 3/4 cups of water
- Cinnamon: 1/4 tsp (more or less depending on personal preference)
- Coconut Oil: 1 tbsp
- Agave syrup, raw honey, or maple syrup: 1 tsp
- *Optional: add a splash of your favorite nut milk
Instructions
1. Heat water and brew Dandelion Root Tea for 10 minutes in 3/4 cups of water.
2. Once ready, strain tea and place all ingredients into a blender.
3. Blend together, or mix together if not using a blender
4. Enjoy and give thanks for this cup of nourishing medicine you’ve just prepared for yourself.

Dandelion Root: This underused plant ally is known to be wonderful for aiding digestion, and detoxification of the liver. It contains high amounts of iron, protein, manganese, phosphorous, carotenes, and vitamin A. This is just touching the surface of Dandelion Root’s benefits, but this is enough to know that you will surely be nourishing yourself by adding this tonic to your cacao. Cinnamon: Warming and supportive of digestion, aids in stabilizing blood sugar levels, and is a strong antimicrobial.
Coconut Oil: May aid in supporting heart health along with cacao and adds a delicious creamy taste to your nourishing drink.
