Let's deepen your connection to cacao and grow your ritual practice this month!
In our April Ritual Report, we've highlighted meaningful astrological dates that help you align with the natural cycles of Earth, significant days to celebrate and reflect with cacao. This offers you a mix of cosmic and grounded cacao ritual. We also recommend specific cacaos to help you with your intentions!
Each day is an opportunity to go deeper with your ceremony by dedicating more time, planning a more elaborate ritual, perhaps increasing your cacao dose, or planning ahead for a group ritual with friends, loved ones, and the larger community.
We hope this sparks some inspiration for your rituals this month!

April 14th | National Look Up At The Sky Day
How often do you give yourself time to contemplate? Do you make space for stillness in your day-to-day? With the world's busy-ness, it seems that everything is constantly going at 100mph, and taking a moment to pause and do "nothing" can be pretty difficult for us now.
National Look Up At The Sky Day is your invitation and reminder to pause and appreciate the simple things in life. When there is room for pause, there is room to pay attention to life and bring yourself back into living it consciously and not just on auto-pilot.
On this day, make some time to disconnect from the pressures of life and take your cup of cacao outside! Gaze at the beauty and wonder that surrounds you daily, whether it's the sky, the flowers, or the trees. A cup of Boundless Belize Cacao could bring you into a receptive and expansive vibration so that with each breath and each sip, you open yourself to awe, wonder, and appreciation for what's right in front of you.
April 19th | New Moon Eclipse In Aries
On this day, we welcome the year's first eclipse marking more change in our lives on a very personal level. The energetic theme? Honor yourself, your energy, your boundaries, and your needs. It is a moon that will mark the beginning of reclaiming ourselves and taking responsibility for our life experiences on a very deep level. You may wish to tap into your inner warrior on this day or the aspect of yourself that is your most loyal ally.
This could be a wonderful day for a ritual to check in on yourself and your self-care practices and, from this reflection, to create new avenues of nourishment for yourself so that you can continue strengthening that bond with your authenticity.
Our recommended cacao is Oaxacan Spice. It can spark the fire of inspiration, self-love, and the courage it takes to set limits for your personal well-being.
New Moon Eclipse Journal Prompts:
- In what aspects of my life have I given away my power, and what valuable lessons can I take from these experiences?
- How can I lovingly reclaim my power? Example: setting new healthy boundaries
- What beliefs do I have around self-care? How can I honor myself more authentically, beyond what I see others doing?
April 21st | Mercury Retrograde
This Mercury Retrograde can bring up a lot of themes around practical matters such as our finances, values, and stability. Since Mercury Retrogrades are a time for review rather than forward movement, reflecting on your current plans, projects, and relationship to abundance during this period of three weeks could be very beneficial. This is an excellent time for rituals around healing your connection to the material world and your beliefs around abundance.
Work with Thriving Tanzania to bring about some lightness to this sometimes heavy and slow period. Thriving Tanzania could help you tap into the perspective that this period of slowing down is a gift for the forward movement you will have at the end of this cycle.
