Ceremonial Cacao Ice Cubes!
Like Cacao Mousse, this treat offers the chance to be creative in our relationship with cacao.
Most importantly, cacao ice cubes are excellent for finding new ways to reap the health benefits of cacao.
These ice cubes make delicious additions to smoothies, breakfast bowls, and other healthy beverages that you may already enjoy!
It is also a great way to repurpose your leftovers after your cacao ritual, and to introduce and/or share with kids, friends, and family.

How to Make Cacao Ice Cubes
Start by preparing your cacao as you normally would.
- Heat your water or dairy milk alternative (almond milk, coconut milk, tea, etc)
- Choose your favorite Pure 100% Cacao (if you want to add your own ingredients) or Enhanced 100% Cacao!
- Choose your dosage: Adjust your water and cacao ratios to create your desired consistency. For thicker ice cubes, use less water and/or more cacao discs.
- Next, blend it or froth it. Make it creamy! Add extra ingredients now—spices, healthy sweeteners, superfoods, herbs!
Cacao Ice Cubes: Additional Steps
- Pour your hot cacao into your ice tray. Leftovers work great for ice cubes too!
- Freeze the cacao overnight. Let it thicken!
- Enjoy! Add cacao ice cubes to your smoothies, breakfast bowls, beverages, or sweet treats.
Cacao ice cubes last much longer than cacao in normal liquid form. So, try making a large batch to have ready for hot days and delicious healthy treats.
You can also store cacao ice cubes in sealed mason jars in the freezer to preserve them for even longer.
