Why We Added Chaga to Oaxacan Spice

Oaxacan Spice Cacao is one of our original recipes and we found ourselves adding chaga to every cup we made. Chaga is loaded with health benefits - it helps reduce oxidative stress, regulates blood sugar, and protects the liver. But like any supplement, it can be hard to remember to take everyday. So we decided to blend it into Oaxacan Spice! (Also, in case you haven’t seen them yet, we have a whole line of organic, fruiting body mushroom powders, Mystic Mushrooms, that you can add into any of your favorite cacaos.)
Energetically, chaga brings ground and depth to the enlivening, activating spices of cinnamon, ginger, cayenne, and cardamom already present in our Oaxacan Spice cacao.
Our Chaga is organically cultivated in its favorite substrates, free of starch, grains, or fillers, and water extracted at a 1:1 ratio for full bioavailability. The naturally occurring, healthy fats in ceremonial cacao act as a carrier mechanism for beneficial compounds, so the health benefits of chaga become even easier for the body to absorb.

Iced Oaxacan Spice Horchata
Horchata is a beloved traditional Mexican drink, most commonly made from rice, cinnamon, milk, and sugar. It's cool, creamy, and incredibly refreshing, especially on a hot afternoon.
Inspired by those classic flavors, this version keeps the spirit of horchata while making it easy to prepare at home. Rice milk provides the creamy base, while Oaxacan Spice Cacao layers in cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cayenne, and our new addition of chaga for a drink that's both refreshing and deeply nourishing.
